RAD Logo Design Contest

As the newly recharted and renamed Roseville Area Democratic Club (RAD), we are looking for a fresh and forward looking brand and logo.

Design Specifications & Requirements

• Originality: The design must be the artist’s original work. It cannot be copied from existing logos or protected intellectual property. No AI images may be used in the final design.

• Simplicity and Versatility: The logo should be simple and scalable. It must look good when used on various materials

• Color Palette: Designers are encouraged to consider a color scheme that reflects our mission and Democratic Values, i.e. should incorporate at least one shade of blue.

• Deliverable Format: Initial submissions should be provided as high-resolution JPEG or PNG files.

  • Final Winner Requirement: The winner must be able to provide the design in a vector format (scalable vector graphic (.svg).

Submission Details

• Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by January 7th, 2025

• How to Submit: Entries should be emailed to [email protected]

• What to Include: Each submission must include:

  • The logo design itself.

  • A brief (1-2 sentence) explanation of the design concept, inspiration, and how it relates to RAD.

  • The entrant's name and contact information (phone number and email).

Judging and Award

• Judging Criteria: Designs will be judged based on:

  • Creativity and Originality

  • Relevance to Our Mission/Democratic brand

  • Aesthetic Quality and Visual Impact

  • Usability and Scalability

• The executive board may vote on their top two or three designs which will be presented to the general membership for a vote.

Intellectual Property: By submitting an entry, the designer agrees that if their design is chosen as the winner, all rights and ownership of the logo design will be transferred to the Roseville Area Democratic Club.
