Tesla’s stock came under fire in early 2025 when the electric vehicle giant’s CEO, Elon Musk, joined Team Trump to oversee the Department of Government Efficiency. DOGE’s mission involved slashing government budgets, which went over well at the White House, if not the rest of the country. Political advocates took to TV, radio and social media asking consumers to boycott Tesla, which at first had a measurable impact, with the stock down as much as 50% in the immediate aftermath.

(NASDAQ: AAPL) In addition to making a sizable donation for Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration and helping fund the destruction of the historic East Wing of the People’s House, Apple has removed multiple apps, including ICEBlock, designed to help people protect themselves and their neighbors from violent, masked men identifying as ICE officers, who are grabbing immigrants and citizens alike off the streets. There are also some reports of ICE ads running on Apple Podcasts.

Do not book hotels owned by Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton (note that each hotel company owns a suite of hotel brands, such as Renaissance, DoubleTree, and SpringHill Suites)
Stop using and cut up any credit cards associated with these brands.

All big banks profit from things we oppose: detention centers, data centers, fossil fuels, and more. If feasible, move your money to green banking institutions, ones that invest in our planet and future.

These two companies do not currently have any contracts with ICE or DHS, however they have allowed ICE to perform snatch-and-grab operations in their parking lots and have stayed silent on this issue. Wherever possible, do not shop from Home Depot or Lowe’s—choose a local mom and pop hardware store instead!
